Vancouver, Canada – The Other Jason Interactive Inc. today is proud to announce the release of Hereby 1.0, a fresh take on an anonymous, location-based chat app for the iPhone. Hereby connects people and devices within a radius of about 50 meters. Unlike most chat applications, Hereby does not require usernames, or passwords. Because each device speaks directly with the group of other devices nearby, it shines in environments with limited network connectivity. Hereby’s peer-to-peer, anonymous nature lends itself extremely well to citizen journalism applications.

A spacious design focuses attention on the messages, where a bright palette contrasts sharply with ample whitespace, and few controls. You might use Hereby to find candid session recommendations at your next conference, or take the pulse of the audience at your band’s next live gig. But please, don’t call us when you’re caught cheating at pub trivia night.

Key Features:
* Group chat with other people using Hereby near you
* Reply to individual messages to address a chatter directly
* Works without either a WiFi or cellular data connection
* No accounts, servers, or logs – each anonymous chatter’s messages are randomly assigned a color for the duration of a session

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
* Optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6/6 Plus
* Requires iOS 8.1 or later
* 4.2 MB

Pricing and Availability:
