Places Around features a Category Search which provides one tap access to over 40 common categories such as Restaurants, ATMs, Gas Stations, Parking, Shopping Malls etc. The custom search feature allows users to find places by providing a name or a keyword. The App also contains Voice Search, which is a very helpful feature. With Voice Search users can simply say what they need to find without typing or selecting.The Voice Search feature makes it possible to search for anything from Japanese Restaurants to ATMs and Hotels to Pharmacies instantly.Place results are displayed in user-friendly map views and list views. Map views include Standard, Hybrid and Satellite modes. The distance to the places as well as the directions of the places are shown instantly.

Places Around is integrated with a diverse range of services as Yelp, Foursquare, Google, Groupon and Booking.com to provide comprehensive information. Reviews and Photos from different services are shown in elegant user interfaces. Additional information such as open hours and restaurant menus are provided to help the users. Restaurant Reservations and Hotel Reservations can be made within the app it self. Restaurant Deals in surrounding areas can be viewed and deals can be bought within the app it self. The app also provides Panoramic Views of places. With this feature users can take a virtual tour and see how a place looks like before actually visiting it.

Place details can be easily shared using SMS, Email and Social Media. Places can be saved as favourites for easy access.Places Around is integrated with the Apple Maps App and the Google Maps App to show directions. Places Around also consists of a feature to change the search area to a location of choice. By changing the search area users’ can search for places in a distant location without being there (ex. Search for Restaurants in London from Boston in USA).

Handoff is another feature that is included in the app. Handoff is helpful when making a restaurant / hotel reservation or viewing a website on the iOS App. With Handoff, users can open the browser on their Mac and continue the task on the Mac.

Places Around also comes with a useful Widget, which helps users to discover nearby places without even opening the app. The widget provides real time distance to the places as well as the directions of the places.

The Places Around Watch App allows users to find places and services around them on their wrist. With the Watch App users can simply tap on a pre defined category or speak to the app to find what they need. Places are sorted by the distance and displayed instantly. Information such as open hours, contact details and distance are provided on the watch.The places can also be viewed on a map and the Apple Maps App can be used to find the directions on the watch.
