Kids say the darndest things every day, and parents often feel like they should be doing something to remember these quotable moments. It’s also a shame that family members live so far away that they often miss out on these quotes and conversations from their grandkids, nieces and nephews.
Many parents type out these quotes in Excel spreadsheets or Google Docs, but that’s not very fun, and certainly not easy to share. Others try writing quotes on Facebook or Twitter, but they quickly get buried and forgotten, so it’s nearly impossible to organize or retrieve them later on. The madness has to stop! So in partnership with Atomic Robot and Firelight Apps, BraveBit App Studio set out to build Quotely, an app that helps parents capture these quotes in fun little cards that are easy to personalize, organize, and share.
Most of the time children say funny things in response to something they see or hear around them. The context surrounding the quote is just as important as the quote itself, so Quotely allows users to set the stage with a large photo or narration text. Quotely can also be used to capture a back-and-forth conversation that happened between 2 or more people.

“Before setting out to build Quotely we wanted to make sure it was something that parents really needed,” explained Scott Ruth, owner of BraveBit App Studio. “So we called, emailed, and tweeted with several moms and dads, including many prominent “mommy bloggers”, to get their feedback. They unanimously agreed that Quotely was a timely app idea, and some who had older kids only wished something like this existed years ago.”
